Atherstone, the five bedroom Brisbane home of former Queensland premier Peter Beattie and his wife Heather has been listed for sale.

The downsizing couple have lived at their Wiltston hilltop Queenslander home, in Brisbane’s inner north, for 22 years.

Peter Beattie was Queensland premier from 1998 to 2007.

They are off to an apartment on the Brisbane River at Newstead.

Marketing agent Peter Taudevin said he was thrilled to be involved in selling the 1920s home which he describes as a “slice of Queensland history”.

Offers close on 49 Dalrymple Street November 27, unless sold prior.
