Margaret Jackson, the first woman to head the Qantas board, has listed her Armadale trophy home.

The European inspired Avalon Road home set in gardens designed by Robyn Boyle has a price guide of between $4.9 million to $5.5 million.

An internal lift connects the three levels including a basement with a sound proofed cinema room, wine cellar and garage.

A double height reception hall sits behind the ornate antique timber and wrought iron front double doors.

Marshall White have set an August 5 auction.

Jackson, who paid $2.75 million for the home in 2004, has held senior positions at ANZ, BHP and Billabong.

She was made a Companion of the Order of Australia in 2003.
