Flemington and Kensington are the fastest selling localities in Melbourne for houses, according to a recent Investar report.

The property data firm says that houses in Flemington and Kensington takes 41 days to sell.

This is followed by Moonee Ponds with 52 days and Avondale Heights with 53 days.

Built in 1890, the 150 square metre house last sold for $686,000 in 2010.

A three bedroom house at 127 Princes Street, Flemington (below) was recently sold for $885,000 after spending 25 days on the market.

The 185 square metre house last sold in 2011 for $599,000.

A three bedroom house at 2/57 Bayswater Road, Kensington (below) was recently sold for $960,000 after spending 15 days on the market.

Built in 1995 it last sold in 2001 for $340,000.

A two bedroom house at 18 Altona Street, Kensington (below) was sold for $1.07 million this year after spending 18 days on the market.

The 283 square metre property last sold for $460,000 in 2006.
