Having moved her production company to Potts Point, filmmaker Jan Chapman has sold her long-held Paddington terrace for $3.76 million.

She paid $750,000 in 1995 and has been the home to Chapman and her husband Stephen O'Rourke's Saddleback production company.

The 45 sqm shop front (above and below) has been rented at $950 a week.

It's been bought by TMS Capital fund manager Ben Clark having been listed through Drew Blomfield.

Set on 260 sqm, the three storey Victorian terrace had five bedrooms, although Chapman and O'Rouke didn't live in the property.

It had a guide of $3.9 million.

The couple reside in Coogee where they have had a home since 1995.

Chapman is the only female filmmaker to receive the Palme d'Or and her film, The Piano, raked in three Academy Awards.

Earlier this year Chapman paid $1.4 million for an office apartment in the Santa Rosa complex on Macleay Street in Potts Point with harbour views.
