Film director Nash Edgerton buys Randwick family home
Stuntman and film director Nash Edgerton has bought a family home in Sydney. The Randwick home will be the base for him and Carla Ruffino.
Blacktown-born Edgerton snapped up the home just two weeks into its marketing for $3,565,000.
It was the home of Adam Chimes, the director at Chase Gallery, and wife Tayla. The Chimes had paid $1.64 million for the 1910 home in 2014 and undertook a full-scale renovation two years ago.
Retaining original fixtures, the modernised single-level home has three bedrooms and two bathrooms on its 360sqm block. The kitchen and family area opens to an entertainers’ deck that meets a heated pool.
The Blacket Agency’s Peter and Jacqueline Blacket secured the quick sale, which came with approval to add a second level, which Edgerton seems set on undertaking.
Edgerton has recently completed work on Chasing Wonders, a coming-of-age film set across the lush wine country of Spain and Australia.
Edgerton is also directing the FX Australia black comedy-drama series Mr Inbetween.
