There were no bids in St Kilda, when a 1915 mansion went to weekend auction. 

The opulent six-bedroom, three-bathroom house at 31 Redan Street had a price guide of $4.2 million to $4.5 million. 

The 1915 home, Fairfax, was marketed as one of the district's most elegant family mansions.

The six-bedroom, four bathroom Edwardian residence is set on 964 square metres.

Macquire DEFT Auction Pay was available on the property on auction day.
