The long-time Edgecliff home of the late Lady Marjorie Pagan has sold for $3,595,000.

The two bedroom, two bathroom garden apartment with study was last traded in 1976 for $142,500.

Always filled with books and flowers, French doors lead from the kitchen to a north-facing, stone-flagged verandah which overlooks the swimming pool and lawn.

The sale through BradfieldCleary agent Georgia Cleary came after her death in June last year. Her husband Sir Jock Pagan had died in 1986.

Marjorie was the youngest of six children of Sir Cecil Hoskins and his wife, Dorothy, from a long line of successful, philanthropic, industrialists and builders.
