The Australian Women's Weekly news editor Michael Sheather and wife Julie are selling in Drummoyne.

The couple paid $741,000 for the 1890s Thompson Street property in 2001.

They have added a contemporary open-plan extension at the rear.

There are still original features in the home, including the polished floorboards and cast-iron fireplaces.

Set on 505 sqm, the family home has four bedrooms, two bathrooms.

The ground have a solar heated pool.

They're seeking around $3.25 million at its February 24 auction.
