Dr Chris Brown leaves Bondi, opts for Clovelly
Sydney's favourite vet Dr. Chris Brown has departed Bondi.
First he gave up on Bondi Vet, the hit TV show that made him a household name, and now he's bought in Clovelly.
He's just splashed $5.8 million on a classic beach house a stone's throw from the beach.
His exit from the Bondi scene was off market, securing a $4.5 million buyer for his Dudley Street property.
His new home set in north facing landscaped gardens on 750 sqm is much closer to the beach, via a pathway with direct access.
The two storey family beach home has three bedrooms and a 100 sqm rear deck with day bed and firepit.
It was advertised as having a classic beach house vibe by Phillips Pantzer Donnelley agents Alexander Phillips and David Tyrell.
The home that last traded for $2,225,000 in 2003.
Goodyer Real Estate agents Amanda Balding and Pauline Goodyer sold the transformed Bondi home in just 16 days.
Dr Chris renovated after he paid $1.92 million in 2010, two years after he began the Network Ten show Bondi Vet which shadowed him at work at a clinic in Bondi Junction.
The Peter Dunkley transformation, completed 18 months ago, turned the home in to a contemporary five bedder with home lime-washed American Oak floors and a Tallowwood deck.
The open plan casual living, dining and kitchen area flows to an entertainer's courtyard complete with built-in barbecue.
A top floor master bedroom has panoramic views stretching from North Bondi towards Maroubra.
Brown's girlfriend Kendall Bora was not a joint buyer.
Brown and Bora have been dating for over 20 months.
Brown has been presenting I'm A Celebrity since 2015 and also presents Network Ten's The Living Room.
He broke onto the television vet scene in 2003 when he starred on Harry's Practice, nominated for a Logie for Most Popular New Talent.
