Robert Shand, who has recently stepped down as managing director at asset management giant Blue Sky, has sold his Queensland home.

The rural Pullenvale property was scheduled for weekend auction.

The property is held in his wife's name.

The five bedroom Woodfield Road house is set on 2.4 acres with a pool, a dam and tennis court.

Around $1.5 million was expected for the home bought for $993,000 back 2013.

Fairfax Media indicated Shand, who stepped down from the role of chief executive of Blue Sky in April, been looking for another home in Brisbane's west.
