Acclaimed dancer and choreographer Meryl Tankard has sold her two-storey Bondi penthouse ahead of its scheduled 17 September auction.

Title Tattle gathers the former artistic director of the Australian Dance Theatre secured around $2.1 million through McGrath agent Chris Volpatti.

It had been relisted with $1.8 million plus hopes, having failed to secure the desired $2 million plus being sought in early 2014.

The penthouse comes with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, three car spaces, views of the ocean and the harbour, and a self-contained roof-top terrace.

Tankard bought the Penkivil Street pad in 2007 for $1,732,000.

The apartment is one of those rarities in Sydney with harbour and ocean views.

It comes with 460 square metres of space.

It is in a recently upgraded security building of 12 with inground pool.
