Composer Guntis Sics and his journalist partner Lucy Clark are selling their hinterland Coopers Shoot retreat.

Guntis, who was nominated for an Academy Award for his sound engineering on Moulin Rouge!, has more recently worked on the upcoming Martin Scorsese directed, Silence.

Located between Byron Bay and Bangalow, the solid four bedroom home sits on a one hectare estate with entertaining decks looking over the rolling hills. There is also a self contained studio.

The pair bought the property in 2003 for $891,000.

Michael Gudgeon of Ray White Byron Bay has the Great Granny Waterhouse Drive property with a $1.95 million price guide.
