Colliers International to sell Barossa Valley viticulture enterprise

A rare opportunity to secure a slice of the Barossa Valley wine region is garnering interest locally and overseas.

Colliers International’s Tim Altschwager, Nick Dean and Nick Goode have been appointed to sell Owens Own vineyard, located in Marananga around 70 kilometres north-east of the Adelaide CBD.

Situated among the world’s oldest Shiraz vineyards, dating back to the 1840’s, Owens Own vineyard has supplied fruit for Penfolds Grange in previous years.

Mr Goode said the property’s scale would attract a multitude of buyers.

“The property has a total area of of approximately 29 hectares across three contiguous Certificates of Title and a total planted area of approximately 22 hectares, including Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Mataro,” Mr Goode added.

Shedding is substantial and includes a workshop with office and chemical laboraty capabilities with approximately 1,800 sqm undercover.

Irrigation is sourced through Barassa Infastructure Limited.

"We expect this vineyard will be hotly contested,” Mr Goode concluded.
