The Collinsville home from Choice Homes has won the award for Best use of Sloping Sites at the 2017 Master Builder Awards.

Features of the home include 4 bedrooms with B.I.R’s, raked and 9ft ceiling, cladding and VJ board internally throughout, timber flooring, an oversized timber deck and steel posts.

A Choice Homes spokesperson said the design offers a traditional yet modern take on the facade and was easily the most challenging and “out of our comfort zone” build that has been completed in the last 12 months.

"This Collinsville build single-handedly demonstrates our passion and ability to build on a client’s supplied block to their style and specifications," they said.

"The greatest challenges to overcome on this build were scope of works and inclusions outside our usual specifications, while using our existing trades and suppliers, an extremely sloping site, to provide services such as water tanks and envirocycle and bushfire rating.

"The home comes equipped with the 2017 Choice Homes 365 Building Specification, with the addition of inclusion styles from yesteryear, all provided by our usual suppliers.

"The finished product enjoys the best of yesteryear styling combined with today's construction, with an enviable street-scape from the road and incredible outlook via the breezy decks and living areas."
