Bulldogs recruit Kieran Foran finds new bushland home
There's new beginnings off-field for the Bulldogs marquee recruit, Kieran Foran.
He has bought a home over the summer break - and it is with his new love interest, Karina May Ormsby.
The home was marketed as "a family oasis immersed in nature".
The architect-designed sanctuary cost $1.7 million, with Foran and Ormsby holding equal equity for the home on 1175 square metres in a stunning bushland setting.
Showcasing fluid open spaces and al fresco entertaining, the modern home has a National Park outlook with picturesque walking trails.
It is 30 kilometres from training at Belmore.
Limited Instagram images so far show the family enjoying the home, although there was a recent balcony hammock shot.
The couple, just back from their trip to the tennis in Melbourne, have been dating since late last year. Omsby is a Central Coast hairdresser and fitness instructor.
The late 2017 listing of Foran's Freshwater home involved legal action from his former flame and mother of his two children, Rebecca Pope, who did not have official equity in their intended family home.
Pope's lawyers lodged a caveat on the property before its sale, suggesting she should get a cut of the proceeds.
Legal paperwork suggested Pope made "direct and indirect financial and non-financial contributions to the acquisition, conservation and maintenance of the lands".
Bought in 2016, Pope and their two children live in the home during his New Zealand stint.
It secured $3.05 million after a $2.8 million price guidance. The home cost Foran $2.51 million.
Pope had viewed the five bedroom home as their "forever home," upon the purchase.
Foran made himself unavailable for New Zealand's World Cup campaign in a bid to be fit for the 2018 season with his new club.
Over the past two years the five-eighth has faced problems with his shoulder, back and quadriceps.
Foran began his career at the Sea Eagles before moving to the Eels. He only played nine games at Parramatta after being granted indefinitely by the club.
