Brothers Anthony and Sam Hordern, of the blue blood Hordern family, have bought after the family's long-time Bellevue Hill home was sold earlier this year.

They've spent $3.2 million on a three bedroom apartment in Darling Point (pictured above).

The 155 square metre apartment, spanning an entire level of the 1970s block of 11, has been stylishly renovated since it last traded for $1.7 milliion in 2011.

It has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, with Japan Black parquet flooring and crisp white interiors in the open plan living spaces.

Stone Real Estate Double Bay agent Daniel Baran sold the apartment pre-auction after 16 days.

In June, the extended Hordern family finally found a buyer for their heritage-listed Ginaghulla Road home, when bought by Rothschild chief executive Marshall Baillieu, who kept it in the family.

They initially sought $30 million when first listed in late 2016.

The Hordern House, designed by Professor Leslie Wilkinson, was built as a wedding gift for June Baillieu and Samuel Hordern, who united two of Australia's most prominent pioneering families.
