Bronco Matt Gillett lists redundant Albany Creek home

Having bought a land parcel to build their forever home nearby, Brisbane Bronco Matt Gillett and wife Skye have listed their former home in Albany Creek.

The modern family home, some 17 kilometres north of the Suncorp Stadium, has five bedrooms and two bathrooms on its 915 square metre block.

The couple bought it for $670,000 in 2014, the same price it traded for in 2011.

They're asking for $719,000 through Re/Max Northern Realty agent Karyn Neil.

They are not moving any closer to Gillett's stomping ground, in fact they're moving further away.

Their 6,000 square metre land parcel that cost them $800,000 sits in the next suburb north in Warner.

Gillett, the hard hitting forward who was described by Broncos legend Gordon Tallis as 'the best forward in the world', turned down lucrative offers last year to stay at Red Hill for the rest of his career.

He made his debut for the Broncos in 2010, scoring a try in a narrow win over the Sydney Roosters.

He played a key part in the Kangaroo's World Cup triumph late last year.
