Brett Finch sells North Bondi home turned investment unit

The former North Bondi home turned investment unit of the one-time NSW State of Origin half back Brett Finch sold mid-week.

It had been expected to fetch about $1.5 million.

Finch, who had a long career in the NRL, playing 330 total games in the league, and his wife Elli Johnston are not set to buy a family home.

The two-bedroom Military Road was listed through Ric Serrao and Alex Lyons of Raine & Horne

The whole-floor unit with has views over Bondi was bought for $815,000 in 2004.

It had been a rental with a $1100 a week asking rental late last year.

It features a wide west-facing terrace plus a designer kitchen, has no common walls, two bathrooms and a parking space. 

Over 14 seasons Finch played for the Canberra Raiders, Sydney Roosters, Parramatta Eels, Melbourne Storm and Wigan Warriors.
