The boxing legend Johnny Famechon is downsizing from the Frankston South home he built more than four decades ago.

The double-storey, four bedroom house sits on a 2809sq m block with a pool and tennis court.

It has a price guide of $1,195,000 to $1,314,500 for its July 7 auction.

UFirst Mornington director Juan Merchan has the listing with former AFL player-turned-real estate agent Jarrad Grant.

It was built in the 1970s with Mediterranean touches, as a family home for former world featherweight boxing champion.

Famechon had been crowned world featherweight champ in 1969.

He was inducted in the Australian National Boxing Hall of Fame in 2003, having recorded 56 wins, six draws and five losses over his impressive 20-year career.

The 73-year-old was recently immortalised in a statue at Frankston’s Ballam Park.
