The two level harbourfront penthouse in the Elizabeth Bay 1962 strata block Billyard Gardens has been sold.

The two storey space at 19/8-10 Billyard Avenue was designed by Alexander Michael in the Billyard Gardens complex.

With striking entry foyer of Pietra Grey marble floors, the apartment has three double bedrooms with built-ins, and three designer bathrooms.

There is triple garaging, plus shared harbour pool and jetty.

“After 300 days we finally sold this for a very respectable record breaking price,” said Ballard Property selling agent Paul Elphron. It was a record price for an apartment in a 1960s strata, he advised, without a price disclosure.

The vendor was Forager Funds chief Jeff Weeden and his partner Gareth Bowler who bought it nine years ago for $4.7 million.

Ballard’s Paul Ephron and Clint Ballard had double-digit expectations which were achieved.
