There's whispers the secretive billionaire Roberts family, heirs to the Mutliplex fortune, have quietly spent $8.5 million in Cottesloe.

The five bedroom home was sold by Damian Kestel, a former non-executive director at Sun Resources, and wife Kristen, who commissioned the 2011 build after paying $1.4 million in 2002.

Kestel has also been active in aquaculture pursuits.

It will be Cottesloe's seventh sale over $5 million since early 2018.
