Kharkov, a 1914 Bellevue Hill trophy home transformed into an artful 21st century home, has been listed for sale.

The architectural firm Collins and Turner have juxtaposed the classic with an avant-garde design, which begins from its Beresford Road entry.

A striking cantilevered frameless glass lift is set within an exposed sandstone cliff-wall that leads to the five bedroom home.

Sandstone blocks cut out of the cliff were used to build the soaring semi-circular retaining wall constructed by Mardini Constructions.

The 2012-redesigned home features a number of formal living areas. The formal lounge has a gas marble fireplace, amid the interiors restored by designer Donald Campbell.

Retractable glass doors open to stone-paved terraces with sweeping harbour views.

The attic retreats' views seek out Bondi.

An 18 metre lap pool that traverses the entire width of the property comes a cabana which is being marketed as futuristic.

The bronze and black cabana features an outdoor kitchen, shower pod and mirrored periscope skylight.

Alison Coopes at Agency by Alison Coopes has the listing.
