Boomer Andrew Bogut and his wife Jessica are really taking the two year stint with the Sydney Kings seriously.

The couple, who returned to Australia after he left the Los Angeles Lakers in January, spent $3.5 million on a house in Concord last month.

It was an off market buy of a three bedroom brick cottage, which has had a rear extension since its prior sale (pictured below).

It was in April when the Sydney Kings unveiled their star NBA signing.

Bogut, whose stellar 13-year career in the US included a championship with the Golden State Warriors, said he wanted to return to Australia while still near the top of his game.

The signing of former NBA champion and No. 1 draft pick Andrew Bogut, combined with three Boomers and two NBL MVPs, has rocketed Sydney Kings to championship favouritism for the upcoming season.

The seven foot 31 year old has a net worth of around $70 million with the Concord home bought without any registered mortgage.

He retains property in Melbourne at Bonbeach, having grown up at Endeavour Hills.

Before the weekend game against Japan, the Sydney Kings coach Andrew Gaze suggested his prized recruit was set to be used sparingly on debut.

It was noted after a strict off-season training schedule, including numerous pilates sessions, Bogut was in strong physical shape.

Ahead of the team’s 30th anniversary season, the Kings will play 11 games against NBL, US college, NBA and international opposition.
