Australia's first full globetrotter Gaby Kennard sells Woolloomooloo Wharf apartment
Gaby Kennard, the first Australian woman to fly around the globe by airplane, has snappily sold her Woolloomooloo apartment with marina berth for $5.55 million.
It was well before next month's scheduled auction.
The three bedroom, two bathroom apartment had a guide of $5 million to $5.5 million through BresicWhitney Darlinghurst agent Nic Krasnostein.
Kennard paid $3.31 million for the waterfront in 2013 and called on Jonathan Richards from SJB Architects to completely rebuild.
Kennard took 99 days to complete her journey circling the world, which began in 1989.
She covered 29,000 nautical miles (54,000 kilometres) and followed Amelia Earhart's route as much as possible.
