Anna Bligh, the chief of the Australian Banking Association, has bought in Mosman.

The $3.7 million purchase was the ornate 1870s trophy home, St Giles which last traded for $2.08 million in 2011 when bought by the Field family.

It was built for North Shore mayor and theatre manager pioneer William Dind.

Bligh got her mortgage on the four bedroom home through the Commonwealth Bank.

The former Queensland premier married entrepreneur Anthony Bertini in 2017.

Bligh sold her $960,000 Highgate Hill, Brisbane house following her move to Sydney where her then first husband took up a job in 2012 at Arts NSW.

They initially rented in Sydney's Paddington.
