Angela Belle McSweeney downsizes to Darling Point
Queen of the track Angela Belle McSweeney downsized in late 2018 having sold the family Rose Bay home at the start of the 2018.
McSweeney, the director of the Australian Turf Club, has stayed close to the harbour, opting for an apartment in Darling Point.
She's spent $2.35 million on a three bedroom apartment in the 1970s built complex of just nine apartments.
Spanning 160 square metres, the apartment was marketed as a blank canvas by Bradfield Cleary Double Bay agent Brenton Gadsby.
It sits on the top level of the block with views across the harbour to the bridge from its open plan living space which opens to a balcony.
McSweeney had previously been based at Belle Vue, the nearby Rose Bay home which had been owned by the McSweeney racing family for five decades.
The Tivoli Avenue home, which fetched $7 million through Gavin Rubinstein at Ray White Double Bay, was bought by Angela’s late father Tony, the prominent horse owner and former chair of Tattersalls Club, for £29,000 in 1965.
It sold to veteran estate agent Michael Marano.
McSweeney helped to introduce fashions on the field in NSW in the early 1980s.
She's been a part-owner and manager of more than 60 thoroughbred horses through the decades, including the Magic Millions winner Our Horizon in 1990.
