The contestant couples on the upcoming The Block Sky High renovation series are beginning to emerge. The first duo are Adelaide twins, Alisa and Lysandra Fraser who are being paraded around as ultra-competitive, determined and tougher than tough. They are police officers. They are from Adelaide's western suburbs.

The NSW hopefuls are Madison and Jarrod Coppock from the Sydney northern beaches. He's a carpenter and Madi, who has a design degree, works as a graphic designer.

No sooner than auctioneer Damien Cooley brought down the hammer on Phil and Amity's win in March than came confirmation from Channel 9 of the seventh series.

Its a return to apartments but this time the five couples fit out five whole floor apartments.

In Block parlance they describe the floor plates as "humungous."

It marks a return to the South Melbourne precinct with their conversion of a recently closed 41-room motel at the north-east corner of Park Street and Eastern Road known as bizMOTEL, which was formerly the Kingsway Motel.

The Watercress production company will keep the ground floor, so that all contestants will face similiar circumstances in transforming the drab 1974 motel into a luxury apartment tower.

The Block have endeavoured to utilise the twitter hashtag #skyhigh as an early marketing tool.
