Actor Liana Cornell finds pre-auction buyer for Woollahra home
Actor Liana Cornell sold her Georgian-inspired, architect-designed Woollahra home ahead of the weekend's scheduled auction through LJ Hooker agents Glen Irwin and Peter Yopp.
Cornell, who will star in the first series of Sky's new historical series Britannia, is the daughter of TV legends John "Strop" Cornell and Delvene Delaney.
Set for release this year, Britannia has been compared to the popular Game of Thrones.
The former model, who was cast in ABC's TV series East of Everything back in 2008 after graduating from NIDA, has spent most of her time split between Byron Bay and Los Angeles, with Europe increasingly on her travel plans.
The three level Russell Street home, rented for $2,000 a week fully furnished mid last year, cost Cornell $2.8 million in 2013.
Surrounded by established tropical foliage with a secret garden, the home sits on a 266 square metre block.
Nearby Barbara and Graham Sylvester, the founders of Paddington's hairdressing icon Sloanes, have sold their classic Victorian home in Woollahra.
The couple, who are planning to return to England, secured $3,505,000 through Di Jones Real Estate. It had a guide of $3.25 million.
The Sylvester's paid $865,000 for the home back in 2001.
