The golfing champion Craig Parry has sold his Abbotsford home which was listed last month with $10 million hopes.

It sold through Black Diamondz Concierge agent Tim Le who reportedly secured just short of the asking price.

The sale came more than a week before an expressions of interest campaign was set to close.

The buyer comes from the inner west.

The home on the dress circle Abbotsford Parade sits in private 1,620 sqm gardens and has water views from every room.

It has four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The upper level bedrooms include a master with walk-in and ensuite spa.

There's also a home office, theatre room, steam room, infrared sauna and games room with commercial grade wet par.

A permanent marina berth jetty, pontoon, slipway and boatshed span the 53 metres of Sydney Harbour frontage.

A swimming pool, outdoor spa, full size tennis court and of course a custom putting green sits in the grounds.

The suburb record was set next door by Le at $9.5 million in 2017 when spiritual healers Mina and Yvon Attia, of the Celebrate Freedom ministry sold to 27-year-old Yangyang Tu, a director of the Northern Territory cattle farm Tutee Farms.

The inner-west record sits at $12.2 million when the hotelier Rod Salmon sold on the Drummoyne waterfront.

It bettered the $11.8 million paid in Balmain East set when the daughter of billionaire Kerr Neilson, Paris Neilson and her husband Todd Buncombe bought on the waterfront in 2014.

Parry intends to spend more time at his Newport waterfront consolidation on Sydney's northern beaches.
