Kay & Burton managing director Michael Gibson sells down shares

Kay & Burton managing director Michael Gibson has sold his down shares in the Melbourne-based real estate company, with a number of new equity partners joining the firm.

Gibson said it's business as usual.

“I’ve taken the decision to sell my shares to the next generation of leaders at Kay & Burton, and continue to represent this incredible brand," he said.

Kay & Burton non-executive chairman Rob Edgley said Gibson is regarded as one of the best real estate practitioners in the country.

"He has been a principal at Kay & Burton for many years," Gibson added.

"Pleasingly, Mike’s commitment to Kay & Burton continues and will do so well into the future.”

Kay and Burton’s new equity partners comprise:

- Tom Staughton (Hawthorn)

- Gary Ormrod (South Yarra)

- Carolyn Purnell-Webb (Manager, Property Management)

- Grant Samuel (South Yarra)

- Lou Opie (Group Chief Operating Officer)

- Andrew Sahhar (South Yarra)

- Rebecca Edwards (Hawthorn)
