Downsizing former horse breeder Dean Fleming, heir to the Fleming's grocery fortune, has spent $3,025,000 on a North Bondi apartment.

The Ramsgate Avenue apartment was secured off-market by the Einfeld family after it had been a $1,450 rental last year.

Comprising two bedrooms and one bathroom, the renovated apartment in a boutique block of just eight offers view of the entire Bondi bay from its outdoor terrace.

It's the first time an apartment in the block has sold in a decade.

Fleming had been North Bondi based for five years having sold a six bedroom Clyde Street home after renovating in 2011 for $3.82 million.

Dean Fleming is the son of former model Lois and the late Jim Fleming, and has spent the majority of his working life in retail and horse racing.
