Pegasus, one of Palm Beach’s landmark properties, remains for sale.

The north-facing residence has been the home of retired law professor Jane Swanton since the 1970s.

Swanton was the first female graduate of the law school to be appointed to the lecturing staff of Sydney University.

The two-storey house is perched on a triangular 1144 square metre block above the Palm Beach baths.

It has five bedrooms, two bathrooms and takes in panoramic views over the beach, Pittwater and north along the coast.

Peter Robinson and David Edwards, of LJ Hooker Palm Beach, are selling the white 1940s house with its yellow awnings.

There was a $12 million asking price.
