Westpac board member Steve Harker has sold his waterfront Point Piper home for about $40 million.

The unconfirmed off market price is nearly double the year’s next high-end sale result in Rose Bay.

The buyer, start-up investor Alexandra Jakob and her entrepreneur partner, Gabriel Jakob live nearby.

The deal was done September 16.

It has been reported the agents were Christie's International and LJH.

The property last traded in 1993 for $2.01 million.

It is on the same bay where expat lawyer Sarah Cooke, who resides in London’s Holland Park with her hedge fund husband Dominic Redfern, was thought to be set to seek $40 million buyers.

Cooke actually wants $60 million according to the local paper, The Wentworth Courier at its November 23 auction.

A $23.5 million Rose Bay harbourfront sale had been in top spot having sold to lawyer Amanda Banton through Ben Collier of The Agency.
