The property, 5 Kenmare Ave, Croydon, is a five-bedroom home on a 1943sqm block was purchased around eight years ago by antique dealers.

Chris Price, McGrath, Croydon, agent said most of the sash and leadlight windows are from country Victoria, the island bench in the kitchen is a remodelled Victorian-era shop counter with a porcelain butler’s sink, the buffet and hutches are from a church and date back to 1910, and the period lights and switches are French and English. 

“It is probably Croydon’s finest character period home,” he said.
