The Oast house and residence at Faulconbridge has been listed for sale.

With bushland views over Sassafras Gully, the unusual home has $1.35 million to $1.45 million hopes.

The 18th Century style, hand built sandstone character-filled English country manor was built in 1977.

There are two separate buildings at 18 Clarinda Avenue with one sandstone structure built in the style of an Oast house – a cylindrical kiln to dry hops for beer brewing.

It was built as a primary residence.

The second, more traditional home was built later.

The Oast house is the only one on mainland Australia, according to agent Helen Harris from Chapman Real Estate.

The vendors are off to Queensland.
