Title TattleOctober 10, 2019

Sam and Kerri-Ann Charlton, the owners of the luxury Whitsundays island escape Bedarra Island Resort, are selling Pavilions, their Sunshine Beach home.

The Gabriel Poole-designed home once belonged to tennis legend Pat Rafter. Having paid $2.18m in 2003, Rafter sold eight years later for $2.25m.

The home then went backwards in 2013, when bought for $2.1m by the Charltons.

The two-level property on 920sq m at the northern end of Sunrise Beach has four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The most impressive feature is the lap pool and bathing pavilion in the tropical gardens.

Mike Hay and Rachel Sellman at Century 21 have the listing. Sam and Kerri-Ann bought Bedarra Island Resort in 2011.

They have spent 18 months rebuilding and reopened the resort as an all-inclusive barefoot luxury retreat.
