Spirit

Urban's three favourite things about Spirit:

  • The sculptural architecture reflecting the rippling ocean.
  • Proximity to the water and luxury shopping precincts.
  • Large apartments with generous balcony sizes.

Becoming one of the fastest growing areas in Australia, the Gold Coast hosts millions of international and national visitors each year. The Gold Coast is a place like no other with unrivalled lifestyles, brimming with opportunities for high-quality education, luxury retail, fine dining and leisure and all located along the gorgeous stretch of beach.

Designed by DBI, which have already architecturally impacted the skyline with Jewel, rises Spirit, a 89 storey apartment tower comprising of 479 unique one, two and three bedroom residences.
The unique, rippling of the facade rises up the building, which will become the tallest tower on the Gold Coast, defining the landmark and allowing for unprecedented choice of apartment types with generous balconies.

Spirit stands on the iconic coastline with soft golden sand stretching for 52km. The shimmering high-rise is a short drive to Pacific Fair, a major shopping, dining and entertainment precinct  with luxury and specialty boutiques. Walk to Cavill Avenue for a vibrant mix of cafes, bars, restaurants and shops offering some of the most exciting cuisine and luxury you could want.
The city is quickly becoming more than just a tourist destination as it steps ahead to become a cosmopolitan dream.

Inside, Spirit residences provide the ultimate experience of luxury with high levels of detail applied to aspects such as joinery and materials. The materials celebrate the natural beauty of stone and timber and with a choice of two soothing colour palettes, you can find yourself personalising your own home to your taste.

The lobby is designed to perfection with signature artworks and a three storey high ceiling creating a warm yet grand impression. A six-star arrival experience elegantly welcomes you home with a crystal chandelier above the reception area to provide warmth in the space.

Amenities are plentiful in Spirit with an unmatched array of entertainment options spread across three separate levels.

Spirit Amenities:

  • Infinity pools.
  • Deluxe spa facilities.
  • Kid’s exclusive recreational areas.
  • Bars and lounges.
  • A wine cellar.
  • State of the art gymnasiums.
  • Six themed restaurants.
  • A Michelin Star restaurant.
  • A sauna and steam room.
  • Meeting rooms.
  • Rooftop landscaped areas with pool.
  • Private cocktail lounge.
  • Banquet room.

The rooftop is the crowning jewel to Spirit with an infinity pool that makes you feel as though you are floating above the ocean with panoramic views and nothing else but calming water vistas in sight.

One bedroom apartments are perfectly proportioned, generous living spaces float on gently toned oak timber floors. The natural palette is inviting, providing a sense of ease and opportunity for you to bring your own sense of style to the space.

Detailed joinery greets residents on their arrival home. Kitchens have finely crafted furniture with pale stone bench-tops, splashbacks, European appliances and thoughtful storage space.

Two bedroom apartments are refined and precisely crafted with organic materials, paired with subtle natural timbers with rare quartzite and marble in the kitchens.

Three bedroom apartments bring a sense of the outdoors inside. Enjoy expansive and unparalleled sweeping views where wall-to-floor windows invite the beauty of the coast indoors while gentle palettes and soft textures express a sense of private retreat.

As of August 2019, Spirit was taken off the market and will not go ahead due to Hong Kong-based company Forise failing to pay rent for the display suite, commissions of already sold apartments not being received by agencies and slow development speed with low marketing to consumers.

As it sits, Spirit is just a large hole in the ground, awaiting new renders and applications to council for possibly a hotel structure. Forise sold the site in mid 2019 for $60 million, with a loss of $50 million.
