Two new non-executive directors on AFG board

Mortgage broking services firm AFG has two new members on its board.

Melanie Kiely and Jane Muirsmith have been appointed as non-executive directors on the AFG board, the company said in a media release.

Kiely is an experienced executive and company director with more than 25 years of experience in health care, financial services and consulting in Australia, Europe and South Africa.

An Honours degree holder in Business Science, Kiely has held a number of board positions in the financial services and health sectors.

Muirsmith has held leadership roles with some of the world’s leading brands in Australia and abroad. She is a non-executive director of Healthdirect Australia, a Fellow of Chartered Accountants, Australia and New Zealand, vice-chair of the WA Business Advisory Committee and a member of the UWA Ambassadorial Council.

“AFG is fortunate to be able to gain access to the extensive experience of our new board members. The appointment of Jane and Melanie brings diversity of thought and internationally informed experience to the AFG board," said AFG Chairman Tony Gill.
