The former English, Scottish and Australian Bank premises on Camberwell junction, built in 1885, has been sold for $4.75 million.

The property, at 482 Riversdale Road, is home to The Meat & Wine Co.

The auction started with a $3.9 million bid.

The buyer liked the idea of the trophy property.

It last sold in 2013 at $3.6 million.

The holding, on the Hawthorn East corner, is currently returning $231,164 P.A. and is set on a 250 sqm block.

It is a fully refurbished two storey building with nine secure undercover car parking spaces on title.
