Kitchenware wholesale business Sheldon and Hammond has signed a ten year lease at Mirvac's industrial development Calibre at Eastern Creek in New South Wales.

Construction of the 31,000sqm facility at Calibre is due to commence during September 2017. The building features high clearance warehouse space and office space, with a contemporary architectural design and outdoor courtyard.

Sheldon and Hammond imports Victorinox, Scanpan, Global, Zippo, Maglite, Brabantia, Avanti, Chasseur, Cusinart and Lifetime Brands.

Mirvac Development Director, Industrial, Fabian Nager, said Sheldon and Hammond were seeking to consolidate their existing facilities in a strategic location, into a new purpose built facility that reflected the quality of their offering and would support the evolution of the company.

“The high quality and flexible design of this facility will cater to the growth that Sheldon and Hammond’s business is experiencing across Australia," he said.

“At Calibre, we’re continuing to push the boundaries of standard office and warehouse options, creating facilities that deliver long-term efficiencies for our customers and our portfolio. As Australia’s supply & logistics, retail and manufacturing sectors adapt to current market changes, we’re delivering assets that help future proof our tenant’s businesses."

Calibre is located at the junction of the M4, M7 motorways and the Great Western Highway.

Colliers International, who brokered the deal, said whilst the pre-lease market is competitive, Calibre has a significant point of difference given its connectivity to the M4/M7 Motorway’s and the fact that its masterplan approved, therefore offers a significant time saving to achieve a purpose built facility in a short timeframe.

Mirvac has begun construction on Building 3 at Calibre.

Building 3 offers a blend of functional warehousing with premium, high quality finishes and fixtures providing flexible office and warehouse solutions from 6,000 to 20,000 square metres. Building 3 will be available from December 2017.
