The investment firm Marks Henderson has spent $32 million plus on a 12-level A-grade office tower at the Paris end of Collins Street.

It was sold by the Australian National University who paid $9.18 million in 1999. It was bought from the Bank Of Melbourne.

The 52 Collins Street building incorporates an 1880s three-storey residence at the front with lavish stucco facade.

The bank had built the tower in 1990 as its head office, offering all up 3500 square metres of lettable space fully leased.

The ground floor retail space is occupied by chocolatier Koko Black, on a long-term lease.

Also at the Paris end, two long-held adjoining office blocks at 10-12 and 14-16 Collins Street are listed through Savills.

At 247-249 Collins Street, Melbourne horse-racing identity Ken Biddick is selling Newspaper House.
