Nippon Express has committed to a 19,000 sqm purpose-built distribution centre at Boundary Estate in Laverton North, Melbourne

This will be a consolidation of Nippon Express’ existing sites at Tullamarine and Truganina and will accommodate forecast growth in the logistics consulting company’s operations over the coming years.

Nippon Express’ seven-year commitment to the new distribution centre was facilitated through Colliers International.

Colliers International Directors Hugh Gilbert and David Follacchio brokered the complex transaction, which involved the surrender of two existing leases, negotiation of the new lease as well as securing a sub-lease for Nippon Express while the new facility is being constructed.

The new prime-grade distribution centre will be fully drive around with 13.7 m internal clearance height and a 30 m super awning.

Nippon Express’ new Boundary Estate facility is due for completion in May 2020.
