Kirstin Ferguson has been appointed to the board of Leighton Holdings as an independent non-executive director, and as part of the construction company's current restructure.

She is currently a non-executive director of SunWater, Hyne and the Queensland Theatre Company, and is completing a PhD in corporate governance. She has also served as an NED with Queensland Rugby Union and as Chairman of the Thiess Advisory Board.

She was the CEO of Sentis before commencing her non-executive career, and a director of corporate services and COO at law firm, Deacons.

Ferguson is a strong advocate for women on boards and in leadership positions, and has previously shared her advice to aspiring female directors with Women's Agenda.
