Set across the road from the hallowed MCG, the Pullman on the Park hotel has been listed with $200 million plus price hopes.

The hotel, managed by the AccorHotels since 2015, has been under the ownership of the Canada-based real estate firm Brookfield since 2012 when they took over ASX-listed Thakral Holdings.

It had previously been Hilton on the Park, a 419 room landmark hotel on Wellington Parade.

Upgraded last year with a $6 million renovation, it was built on the site of the 1880s Cliveden Mansion alongside Fitzroy Gardens.

JLL Hotels are marketing the property in conjunction with McVay Real Estate's Sam and Dan McVay who are taking expressions of interest until March 15.

The Hilton South Wharf recently fetched $230 million last year; Qatar Airways bought the Sheraton Melbourne from Golden Age at around $135 million and there was the off-the-plan $220 million sale of the new W Hotel to be built at Collins Arch in February to Japan's Daisho.
