A historic former church in Essendon has been sold for $1.45 million through CBRE's Joshua Twelftree, David Minty and Sandro Peluso.

The 1003 Mount Alexander Road 267sq m site features a 1870s gothic-style church.

A private local medical practitioner bought it from a private investor to use as a medical facility.
