A Potts Point backpacker hostel has been listed for the first time in over four decades.

The four level Orwell Street building is currently the home of Jolly Swagman Backpackers, who have been operating from the building for over 20 years.

The 47 room hostel near Kings Cross Station has a shared kitchen, dining room, TV room, laundry, and solar roof panels.

It's gross annual income for this year is $1.23 million per annum.

 

Jerry Leis and Allan Levy, from Metro Commercial Double Bay, have a November 12 auction.

Prices at the hostel start at $34.

Last year Sydney Central Backpackers, a smaller backpackers nearby, sold for a record $7 million.
