The former Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins and her husband Jake Wall have spent $1.66 million on their sixth investment property.

Its a knock-down-rebuild in their home suburb of North Curl Curl on Sydney's Northern beaches.

The keen property investors snapped up the property just before heading to Bali for their wedding.

They have reportedly lodged a development application for $900,000 of new works, including a new swimming pool.

The building site comes with views of the ocean, the lagoon and even a hint of the city skyline  from its  762 square metre parcel of land.

There is currently a three bedroom single storey beach cottage at the Pitt Street address which sold through Bernard Hachenberg and Graham Bennett at Ray White Freshwater.

Hawkins has leveraged her fashion runway success to build a reported $10 million plus business and property empire, according to weekend News Ltd paper reports.

Reporter Jessica Irvine tallied Hawkin's property holding as six.

Ms Hawkins is currently launching a new business of self tanning lotions called J Bronze.

There was another nearby cottage that sold recently at auction. Cute as a small button, but likely to be bulldozed.

It was a $1.26 million sale of a classic two bedroom, one bathroom beach cottage.

The 76 square metre house that sits on a 310 square metre 6 Surf Road block was listed by Lauren Haines at Raine & Horne Dee Why.

It has more limited views - being over the adjacent Flora Reserve towards the beach and ocean.

The revamped classic beach house sits on 311 square metres of level land.

"Move straight in and plan your next home, rent it out, or just enjoy this beach house in this magical position as it is," the marketing said. There were eight registered bidders at the on-site auction.

It last sold at 385 pounds in 1954.
