The Raith House residential development site at Bradbury has been sold for $2.41 million.

Capital Developments bought the 2.2 hectare offering from Government Property NSW.

It was offered through John Macree and Dylan McEvoy at JLL.

It comes with the heritage listed home, Raith House at 74 Fern Avenue, offered after fire damage and ongoing vandalism.

The Indian bungalow-style house was built for H.J.M. Merewether and his bride, Wilhelmina Gore, daughter of Campbelltown bank Manager, A.J. Gore.

The building was designed by Wardell & Denning in 1903 and built by D. McIntyre and Sons of Sydney at a cost of 3000 pounds.

Raith Lark Hill Hostel was established by the Child Welfare Department in 1964 to serve the Campbelltown district.
