How the capitals performed over the past year: RP Data

The latest RP Data CoreLogic Home Value Index for October indicates strong growth in a number of capital cities.

Here’s the 12 month growth from largest to smallest across the capitals.

    13.1%

  • Melbourne
    8.9%

  • Brisbane
    5.6%

  • Darwin
    5.0%

  • Hobart
    4.4%

  • Adelaide
    4.3%

  • Perth
    3.4%

  • Canberra
    0.9%

The combined capitals together recorded an uptick of 8.9% over the year. Over the month of October, prices increased by 1.0%, contributing to a quarterly result of 2.2%.
