Traditional method baker, Hometree, has committed to a new lease in South Yarra.

The deal by the high quality bread maker was negotiated by Savills Australia in conjunction with Grange Property Consultants for the 166 Toorak Road space.

It is the former Mecca Cosmetica premises comprising 140 square metres close to the railway station.

Savills Australia Victorian retail director, Michael Di Carlo, who brokered the deal, with colleague Jeremy Marmur and Grange Property Consultants director, Joel Wald, said the deal was negotiated on a seven year term.

The rental was not disclosed but deals along the street have been struck in the vicinity of $900 to $1,000 a square metre.
